Not Happy

As glad as I was in my last post to be back in Nebraska is just how not happy I am to be in Maryland. I thought it would be okay living here, but it’s not. It sucks. I miss my mom so much. Nothing is normal. There’s no television. The fridge only kinda sorta works. There are bugs. The worst is that I have to do everything on my own. My dad doesn’t bother to do things like go grocery shopping. Also there’s no couch.

Mostly, I just wish my mom was here. I wish I didn’t feel so on my own.

Cavalcade is a procession of nonsense - like a parade: fun while you're there, and OOOH, they throw candy! But once it's over you've gained two lbs eating Mary Janes and wasted 3 hours of your life (because you know you had to drive to the parade, and then it took like an hour just to get out of the lot when the thing was over, and deep down you knew this was gonna happen and you should have left earlier, but the last float is always the best and if you wait long enough sometimes they throw really good candy, like snickers and stuff, so you stayed. Now you're fat and late. Bummer.)
